    MIME messages garbled...chunking?

Has anyone experienced this?  Basically, host sends a mime message with a large number of recipients (more than 1000 characters in the TO field), with an attachment (doesn't really matter what).  Re recipient receives the email and all email addresses in the TO field are now in the body of the email, and the attachment shows up in the body as garbled characters.
I had read an article on disabling the chunking verb on the front end servers, but that didn't seem to fix the issue.

    Thanks

    Hi

Sorry for the late reply, I have just returned from holidays and did not have a reliable internet connection.

Are you running any type of anti-virus software on your gateway? I remember a newsgroup post where a company was running esafe gateway which caused a problem similar to the one you mention. The solution was to upgrade the latest version of esafe.

If this is not the case let me know and I will investigate further.

    Regards
