Emails copying themselves multiple time to users inbox

HI - not sure where to put this one. I currently have a user that has a number of emails dated between Oct 06 and Jan 07 being copied from his folder structure back to his inbox as unread messages. The user now has 7 copies of each email. When you try to delete the emails they in time return to the inbox. The user is not logged into exchange so I believe that whatever is happening is doing so on the server. I have run a full virus scan on the exchange server and client using McAfee 8.0 and also an AdWare scan, both of which came up with nothing.

Has anyone any idea as to what could be wrong.

Thanks in advance for any help

If you look at the message header do each of these message have the same path to the server? Does each message have the same message id? Are these message from an external address? Are they all from the same domain?

    HI

Each message is a duplicate of the origanal with the same message id. The messages are from different domains and are a mix of internal and external messages. I will check the message header and let you know

    Thanks for the reply
